Much of our valuation and investment banking services revolve around private equity (PE) firms. The primary interactions with PE's are the following:
- Valuation of partners' carried interests and equity slices in each fund.
- Including them as potential buyers for our retained sell-side clients.
- Showing them investment opportunities for established clients that are raising capital.
- Finding potential targets for acquisitions, given the platforms and parameters of a buy-side deal.
The later item, finding and qualifying target acquisitions, is an expanding part of our practice. We have executed numerous agreements with PE's to find the best targets, and potentially avoid time consuming auctions.
